birthstones

im not too sure which wise wizard came up with the idea of birthstones...theyre a pretty odd invention that seem to have jumped straight out of the mind of someone like tolkien or mr pullman.
i had to research them for work the other week and found out all sorts of interesting weird things. this was for march.

For those who were born in the month of March the Aquamarine is the traditional birthstone. properties with which the Aquamarine is associated - faithfulness, courage and friendship. The Traditional Metaphysical Properties for the March Birthstone Aquamarine are awareness, quick response and easing communication problems.
apparently aquamarines can also help with throat problems....not sure how exactly...perhaps like a cough sweet.

sleepless nights are a bit boring sometimes.they all tend to blur into the same pattern. drink my own body weight in horlicks.watch a rerun of a sitcom. find an obscure documentary.passout and have crazy dreams for 3 hours.
but last night i found a documentary about a life which even my crazy dreams couldn't have realised. it told the story of a man who became famous for shaking his floppy hair and harmonizing. who was married 5 times. who shared a house with a Mr Charles Manson.who wrote pacific ocean blue. and who (if id been a girl in the 60's) I would be ever so much in love with.

this is my brother.he likes emily and chocolate and giving me dead arms when we play the yellow mini game. i dont get to see him that much right now. hes spending his time getting pretty darn good at playing the drums at ACM in raaraaland.
but i get to see him for a few hours next week and this makes me super happy...hurry up week...

oh i forgot. he quite likes a nice little tune every now and then. and when he finds one he lets me know.
